About

A franchise marketplace that tells you how it makes money

FRANWORLD connects people looking for a franchise with the brands offering one. Free for the person looking. Paid for by the brand. Here is exactly how that works, so you can judge what we say.

What we do

Brands publish what they offer — the investment, the fee, the royalty, the territories they want, the ownership types they sell. You search, compare and shortlist without giving us anything. When you find one worth a conversation, you send an enquiry and we introduce you. Alongside that sit the tools a real decision needs: affordability and return calculators, territory and white-space maps, country legal and tax guides, a franchise glossary, and an events calendar.

How we make money — stated plainly

Brands pay us; you never do. A brand either buys qualified leads one at a time or subscribes. That means when you send an enquiry, we pass your name, email and phone to the brand you chose and that brand pays us for the introduction. It is the entire business model, it is your choice each time, and it is set out in full in the privacy policy, including how to tell us to stop.

We are not a franchise broker. We are not paid a commission on any franchise you buy, so we have no reason to steer you toward an expensive one. We do not accept payment to rank a brand higher in search results.

Four rules we hold ourselves to

  • Each lead is sold once. One enquiry, one brand, never resold or syndicated to a competitor. If we break it we refund every lead that brand ever bought. See the no-resale guarantee, which includes an open invitation to secret shop us.
  • We never publish a number we cannot source. Every statistic, tax rate and legal summary carries the original authority that published it and the date we checked. Where we could not source something, we say so instead of estimating. The full standard is on the methodology page.
  • A blank beats a guess. When we build a listing from a brand's own website, missing investment figures and unit counts are left empty and the brand is asked, rather than filled in from an industry average. A wrong figure is what someone commits their savings against.
  • Absence of data is not opportunity. Our map tools measure how well an area is mapped before reporting what is missing from it, and say when the answer is “we cannot tell”. An empty map usually means nobody mapped it, not that nobody wants the product.

Where we are today

We would rather show you the real size of the place than a rounded number. As of 22 September 2026:

  • 64 brands published, from 76 in the system — the rest are drafts and listings awaiting review.
  • 56 franchise events ahead across 20 countries, every one with an official source; anything we could not source was dropped rather than estimated from last year's date.
  • 8 suppliers in the supplier library and 9 industry insight pieces.
  • Available in English, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese, right-to-left included.

That is a young marketplace and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Most of those pages are unclaimed: we build a listing from published franchise material — the brand's own site where we can reach it, and its profile on World Franchise Centre — and every page is checked and repaired before it goes live. Where a source does not state the investment, the franchise fee or the royalty, we leave it blank and ask the brand, rather than fill it from an industry average. That is why many pages currently show no figures. Any brand can claim its page at no cost and correct it.

Maya, and what an AI advisor here may and may not do

Maya is our AI advisor. She helps you narrow a search, explains how franchising works, and walks through pre-qualification so a brand can answer you properly. She draws on our own knowledge base and cites where a figure came from. She does not give legal, tax or investment advice, she does not know your personal circumstances beyond what you tell her, and she is not a substitute for a professional adviser or for reading the disclosure document. What you type to her is sent to our model provider — the privacy policy names it.
